At Salmestone, we are passionate about creating Excellence for All, we want our children to be equipped with the personal and academic skills to be successful individuals. Staff at Salmestone have high aspirations for our pupils.
It is our aim to create a community of confident independent learners who are well prepared for secondary school and beyond.
At the heart of this is the provision of a safe and happy learning environment for all our pupils.
A sense of belonging and pride in self and school is key to this.

If your child is currently at another infant or primary school and would like to apply to us please visit the KCC website or contact our school office.
If you are unhappy with the school place you've been offered, you can appeal for any of the schools you named in your application.
KCC recommend you still accept the place your child has been offered. This will not affect your appeal and will guarantee your child has a school place if your appeal is unsuccessful.
If your appeal is successful you must remember to tell the school you were originally offered that you no longer want the place.
If you weren't offered your chosen school, this is usually because the school is full and there were other children who more closely met the school’s oversubscription criteria.
Please see the KCC website for more information including timescales:
If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
In year applications
Applications for year groups other than the normal point of entry should be made directly to the school.
Please click below to access our application forms.
Completed forms should be returned directly to Salmestone Primary School, this can be done via email to email@example.com
Application outcomes will be confirmed in writing no later than 15 school days from receipt of application.
If the number of applications for the school, for any year group, is more than the number of places available, the oversubscription criteria (as per our Admissions Policy) will be applied. The same oversubscription criteria will apply if the school is in a position to offer a place from the Waiting List.
In the event of the school being oversubscribed, priority within each category will be given based on distance as described above with those closest being given higher priority.
Where two or more children have the same distance in the same category random selection will be used to establish which is ranked ahead of the other.
For casual admissions, the distance will be measured by an appropriate web mapping service using the walking option. There is no expectation for the child to walk the route calculated and it is a measure of distance for admissions purposes only.
In the event that your application is unsuccessful and you would like to pursue an appeal, please click here to access further information and an Appeal form.
If you would like to arrange a tour of the school or have any queries regarding the admissions process please contact the School Office.
