Last week, the children in year 3 and 4 were able to step on to authentic sets, discover the magic behind spellbinding special effects and explore the behind-the-scenes secrets of the Harry Potter film series at the Studios where all eight films were produced. The Studio Tour showcases the British talent and artistry that went into the making of the Wizarding World. We all had a magical time! 🤩

Year 1 had a Jewish workshop last week. The children learned about Jewish artifacts and the Passover festival. They created food plates as part of their learning. The children also looked at examples of stained glass windows found in synagogue then had a chance to make their own stained glass window. 😍

Year 2 had a wonderful workshop with the ARK Cliftonville's Cultural Space last week. The children had an introduction to Jewish artefacts, through real objects and images from when the building was the Margate Synagogue, and learnt about the Jewish festival of 'Passover'. The children studied images of the colourful stained-glass windows and created their own pieces of art using vinyl and clear acetate inspired by the symmetrical patterns and shapes contained in the windows of the former synagogue. Fantastic work everyone!
