We currently find ourselves in a period of uncertainty. With the closure of schools there will be significant changes for our children. In order for you to support your child at home, please find below some social stories and scripts to go through with your children to help them understand the current situation.
Children respond well to routines whilst the majority of children are now at home it is important to keep some structure to the day. Please find below some prompts for visual timetables that may be useful.
Well being and mental health
Now more than ever it is important that we look after both our own and our children’s well being and mental health. Please find below some useful links that offer guidance and tips to promote this.
Thrive is an approach based on established neuroscience, attachment theory and child development. Thrive promotes children’s and young people’s positive mental health. Thanet Inclusion Support Service have been trained in the Thrive approach and have provided the activities below.

Learning at home
There are lots of things you can do at home to continue to support your child whilst school is closed. Below are some resources to support children who attend fizzy, clever hands, sensory sessions at school.
